Hi! Thanks for checking my web site. I've used the phrase "Watercolor--Wild, Wet and Wonderful" because that's exactly what it is. My art studies in New England [Boston College] and Michigan [Michigan State, Wayne State U] focused-mostly on figure and still life drawing.
On moving to Southern California, my interest in painting flourished as I became involved with various art associations. Rubbing elbows with such a variety of fine artists couldn't help but stimulate my ambition to learn all I could.
I began taking workshops with wonderful, highly respected artists, traveling over most of the world in the process. During that period, my fascination with watercolor grew. Its wild, wet and wonderful aspects offer opportunities for fun and freedom in painting. I believe that no matter what the subject, learning is best achieved when combined with enjoyment.
Since 1992, I have taught watercolor classes, stressing the freedom of expression that the medium offers. That, combined with painting on location whenever possible, has become the focus of my life, combined with writing and teaching art. My students urged me to put down in writing the things I stress, like "Watercolor loves to run and play--let it!"  The result is my latest book "Enrich Your Life--Be An Artist!" Signed copies are available for purchase from me directly, at book stores or on line at Amazon.com, Barnes&Noble, Borders, etc.
